VanGogh Yorkshires

Introduction

We are located in North Georgia about 50 minutes north of Atlanta. Here at VanGogh, we strive to have a line of top quality Yorkshire Terriers that meets the standard, which includes soundness and excellent health. In quality we mean ~ silky textured coats of good quality with the dark steel blue color, rich gold, beautiful faces, intelligence, balance and excellent structure and movement.

We were introduced to the show world of yorkies back in 1979 and were members of the Gold Coast Yorkshire Terrier Club in South Florida. We were very active in showing with the help our professional handler, Glynette Cass and our other yorkie friends. I would like to thank them for their friendship and teaching me so much about yorkies.

Where Quality & Standards Matter

We took a break to raise a family of our own and made a move to the North Georgia Mountains in 1989. Now that the children are grown we have returned to showing in 2006. Our goals have stayed constant, to keep the standard of the Yorkshire Terrier breed. Since returning ~ our young babies, have won many 1st places in classes against others, group wins at matches, and now have three finished champions. Not bad for accomplishing all we have in just three years! We are always working hard here at VanGogh by attending shows, handling classes, all-breed club meetings, and consistantly evaluating our dogs by experts. Thank you so much to the breeders that have trusted me with their own and sharing their knowledge, for this I owe you all so much. When raising yorkies correctly, nothing is easy. It takes a lot of work and determination. No short cuts taken to strive for the best!
